Today’s Providence St. Mel School is the proud descendant of two schools: Providence High School, an all-girls school and St. Mel High School, an all-boys high school. We welcome the alumni from all three schools as part of our proud heritage.
Since becoming an independent school in 1978, 100% of our graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities. In 2015, 100% of our graduates were accepted to top tier and Ivy league institutions as ranked by U.S. News and World Reports. As a whole, the Class of 2015 was awarded over 5 million dollars in college scholarships for their hard work, extraordinary test scores, and impressive extra-curricular accomplishments!
