Terra Nova (Lower & Middle Schools)

Schoolwide Average by Grade Levels / 2012-2013
Terra Nova is a series of standardized achievement tests designed to assess student achievement in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, vocabulary, spelling and writing. The results are nationally norm-referenced, meaning the students’ scores reflect their achievement in comparison to all students who took the test nationally. This is expressed as a raw score that is then converted to a percentile. This is different from criterion-referenced tests, which measure student performance based on mastery of the material.
